Terms of Service

Reward My Data · effective November 4, 2026 · version 2026-11-04
This document has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer.
These terms are a contract between you and Reward My Data, a public benefit corporation ("Reward My Data", "we", "us"). You accept them when you check "I agree" in the app, and by using the app, website or browser extension. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Please also read our Privacy Policy and How we value your data.
Section 14 contains a binding arbitration agreement and a class action waiver. It affects how disputes are resolved. You can opt out of it within 30 days of first agreeing to these terms.
1. Who we are
We run the Reward My Data app, website and shopping panel browser extension, where US members share shopping data and earn Data Rewards (DR). Questions: hello@saverscommunity.com.
We are a public benefit corporation. We give away half of our profits: a quarter to the Reward My Data Foundation, a charity that funds the causes members vote for, and a quarter straight back to the community. How that money is spent is described on the MD page and is not a promise of any amount to any member.
2. Who can join
•
You must live in the United States, be there when you use the service, and be 18 or older (19 in Alabama and Nebraska, 21 in Mississippi).
•
One account per person. Multiple, shared, borrowed, fake or automated accounts are not allowed.
•
The details you give us (name, date of birth, address, phone and email) must be true, belong to you, and be kept up to date.
•
You may not join if we have suspended or closed an account of yours before, unless we agree in writing.
3. What you share
•
Receipts for purchases you made or were part of, photographed in the app, real and unedited, and no older than the limit shown in the app (currently 7 days).
•
Weekly ads and coupons you add, and comments and posts you write.
•
If you install the shopping panel extension and turn on sharing: the shopping activity described in section 7.
Do not upload receipts that belong to someone else, screenshots or edited images, or receipts for purchases you return. We may ask for proof of a purchase at any time, and we decide in good faith whether a receipt is genuine.
4. Data Rewards (DR)
•
What they are. DR are a reward we give for the data you contribute. The current rates are in the app and in How we value your data. 100 DR can be redeemed for $1 of value in the rewards catalog.
•
Not money. DR have no cash value, are not your property, cannot be sold, transferred or combined between accounts, and give you no ownership in us. They can be redeemed only as the catalog allows.
•
Pending first. New DR stay pending until the receipt or activity is verified. We may reverse DR credited by mistake or through fraud or a breach of these terms. If you think a decision is wrong, email us within 30 days.
•
Redeeming. Before a redemption we may verify your identity and phone number, through a provider working for us. If you do not complete verification we may refuse the redemption.
•
Taxes. You are responsible for any taxes on what you receive. If the rewards you receive in a year reach the IRS reporting threshold (currently $2,000), we will ask for a W-9 before paying more, and we may report what we paid.
•
Expiry. DR expire if your account has no activity (no verified receipt, extension activity or redemption) for 12 months. We email you at least 30 days before they expire.
•
Changes. We may change earning rates, the catalog and minimums. If a change lowers what your DR are worth, we tell you at least 30 days ahead. We never take away DR that are already available to you, except as allowed by these terms.
•
Ending the program. If we end the rewards program, you will have at least 30 days to redeem.
•
Closing your account. DR you have not redeemed end when your account is closed or deleted. The app reminds you to redeem first. Where a state's unclaimed property law applies to a balance, we follow it.
5. Your data and our license to it
You keep ownership of the receipts and other content you submit. By submitting them, you give us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid, transferable and sublicensable license to store, copy, read, analyze, correct, combine with other data, create derivative works from, and use them to train and improve software and AI models, and to sell, license and publish de-identified and aggregated data made from them.
The DR, the contributor pool and your copy of your data are the whole compensation for this license. Data we produce from submissions, including datasets, statistics, aggregates and insights, belongs to us. This license and that ownership continue after your account is closed or deleted, but only in de-identified form, as described in the Privacy Policy.
What we do not do. We do not sell your name, email, phone number, address, card details, location or health purchases. What we sell is de-identified and aggregated, we publicly commit not to re-identify it, and every buyer must agree in writing not to re-identify it either.
Your privacy rights come first. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have under a privacy law, including the rights to access, correct, export and delete your personal information and to opt out of its sale. Where these terms and such a law conflict, the law wins.
Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them freely without paying you.
6. The monthly contributor pool
Members who contribute a verified receipt in every week of a month share that month's pool equally, paid in DR. Eligibility, timing and payment are set out in the contributor pool terms, which are part of these terms.
7. The shopping panel extension
•
The extension is optional. It does nothing until you link it to your account and choose to share.
•
If you share, it records, on the supported shopping sites only, the products you view, searches in the store's own search box, when you open your cart, and orders you complete (total, items and prices, and a scrambled copy of the order number), with the page address and time.
•
It never records passwords, payment details, your name, email or address, what you type into forms, sign-in, account or payment pages, pharmacy, health, adult or finance pages, or any site not on the supported list.
•
Coupon codes are a separate choice. The extension shows codes only when you click, never applies them for you, never changes links and sets no cookies. If we ever earn a commission from a code or link, we will say so next to it.
•
You can pause sharing, view and delete what was collected, or uninstall at any time. Current earning rates are shown in the extension.
8. Fraud and misuse
You may not:
•
use bots, scripts, AI tools or any automation to create accounts, receipts, activity or votes;
•
submit receipts that are edited, generated, printed from a template, photographed from a screen, duplicated or not yours;
•
hide or fake your location, or use VPNs, proxies, emulators, single-use phone numbers or other people's details;
•
buy and return items to earn DR, or work with others to get rewards you would not otherwise get;
•
copy, scrape, reverse engineer or overload the service, or interfere with its security.
If we reasonably believe you broke these rules, we may hold or reverse DR, cancel redemptions, and suspend or close your account. Our fraud decisions are made in good faith and are final, subject to section 14.
9. Our service
We may change, pause or stop any part of the service, including features in beta. We will give reasonable notice of changes that matter to you when we can. We do not promise that any store, price, coupon or reward will be available.
10. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from the Me tab or by emailing hello@saverscommunity.com. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we end the service. Sections 4 (closing), 5, 11 to 15 and 17 continue after your account ends.
11. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Prices, coupons and store information come from members and partners and may be wrong. Check before you rely on them.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for all claims is limited to the greater of $100 or the value of the rewards you redeemed in the 12 months before the claim. Some states do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
13. Indemnity
If a claim is brought against us because of content you submitted, your breach of these terms or your misuse of the service, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, to the extent the law allows.
14. Disputes and arbitration
•
Talk to us first. Before starting a claim, either side sends the other a written notice with its name, contact details, the account email, a description of the dispute and what it wants. Send yours to hello@saverscommunity.com. We both try to resolve it in good faith for 60 days, and may meet by phone or video. Time limits pause during this period.
•
Binding individual arbitration. If it is not resolved, any dispute about the service or these terms is decided by binding arbitration before the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, not in court. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. The arbitrator decides questions about whether a claim must be arbitrated, except as this section says otherwise.
•
Fees. For claims you bring, we pay the filing, administration and arbitrator fees above what you would pay to file in court, unless the arbitrator finds your claim frivolous.
•
No class actions or juries. Claims may be brought only individually, never as a plaintiff or class member in a class, collective, consolidated or representative proceeding. You and we each give up the right to a jury trial.
•
Small claims. Either side may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies.
•
Mass filings. If 25 or more similar claims are filed by or with the help of the same lawyers or group, they are administered under the AAA Mass Arbitration Supplementary Rules, in batches, and each claimant must first give the information in the notice above. Time limits pause while claims wait for their batch.
•
Public injunctions. A request for a public injunction is decided by a court after the individual claims are arbitrated.
•
Time limit. To the extent the law allows, a claim must be started within one year after it arises.
•
Opt out. You can opt out of this section by emailing hello@saverscommunity.com within 30 days of first agreeing to these terms, with your name, your account email and a clear statement that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect the rest of these terms.
•
Future changes. If we change this section, you can reject the change by emailing us within 30 days, and the version you last accepted will apply.
•
If part fails. If the class action waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim goes to court and the rest of this section still applies to the other claims.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, apart from conflict-of-law rules, and by the Federal Arbitration Act. Any dispute that is not arbitrated is heard in the state or federal courts in Florida, and you and we accept their jurisdiction. This does not take away protections that your own state's consumer or privacy laws give you.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes, we tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before they take effect, and ask you to agree again in the app. We will not use data we already collected in a materially different way without your consent. If you do not agree to a change, you can delete your account before it takes effect.
17. The rest
•
These terms, the Privacy Policy, How we value your data and the contributor pool terms are the whole agreement between us about the service.
•
If a part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a term, we have not waived it.
•
We may transfer these terms in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. You may not transfer them.
